Mission and Goals

Our program mission is consistent with the mission of our local governments which is to provide more affordable housing. We would like help to resolve some of the current housing issues such as:

· Providing Temporary Emergency Housing
· Increase affordable homes
· More rental units in the community

GICH helps communities improve their quality of life and economic vitality through the development of locally driven housing and revitalization strategies.

Participation in GICH (Georgia Initiative for Community Housing) helps us to:

· gain knowledge to acquire property
· remove abandoned homes
· add more affordable homes or rental units
· revitalize neighborhoods.
